We rejoice and praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the living God, at Dalbeattie Baptist Church. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired word, inerrant in the original manuscripts. It is the only means of knowing God's plan of salvation and His will for our lives. It is the only hope and answer for a rebellious, searching world.

We are dedicated to our community and hope to integrate and serve the surrounding area through persistent and objective prayer.

It is from the teaching and life of the living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, that as Christians we aim to be salt and light to Dalbeattie.

The owners of the copyright, as well as the publishers (Harper Collins and Zondervan), of the New International Version of the Holy Bible, are News International/News Corporation. In view of this, the company’s other publications, and its very questionable morals, Dalbeattie Baptist Church has decided to take a stand against the use of the New International Version of the Bible in public worship. No new copies of that Version of the Bible will be purchased and will not be read in any service. We encourage other Churches to prayerfully consider their position regarding this and hope that they will join us.

It should also be noted that the 2010 version of the New International Version has been significantly changed from the 1984 publication, with no indication that it has been so changed, and the new version can no longer be considered a reliable translation. However, only the 2010 version is now available for purchase by individuals. Please do not purchase this version if you want a reliable translation of the Scriptures.
